Telstar Boreas Ultra Low-Temperature Freezers use ultra-thin vacuum insulation panels. With only 80 mm of insulation, they guarantee a much better insulation value than the 125 mm standard PU foam. A temperature of -86oC is guaranteed for an ambient up to +30oC. Furthermore, thin insulation increases the storage capacity by up to 30%. Safety for your samples is paramount but why not be kind to the environment as well? Telstar has embraced this ideology and always uses ecological refrigerants in its freezers.
Unlike the traditional use of mixed synthetic potent greenhouse gases, Telstar is a pioneer in using 100% pure natural refrigerants. CFC, HCFC, and HFC free. In addition, the hydrocarbon systems used by Telstar are safety compliant in accordance with EN60335-2-24. The Boreas green line only uses high-quality and energy-efficient compressors. Combined with the use of natural refrigerants it achieves a mix of low power consumption and noise levels, around 50 dB(A), in line with NEN-EN-ISO 11202 requirements.
A reliable self-diagnostic monitoring and alarm system is positioned at eye level, far from dust and moisture. The bright liquid crystal digital display is clearly visible from afar. The most critical values (sample temperature, ambient temperature, and voltage) can be checked in a blink of an eye! No freezer is ever opened with empty hands. To facilitate single-hand opening Telstar has developed an ergonomic door handle. This easy–grip handle helps to effortlessly open the door and firmly press the door closed.
The robust metal system is designed and tested to resist thousands of handling. Security is safe guarded by a cylinder lock and it allows an additional padlock to be used when extra security is needed. A heated vacuum equalization valve allows smooth frequent door openings.
As a standard, the Boreas upright series is equipped with a 5-compartment configuration to efficiently store standard racking systems. The 5 inner doors are well-insulated with 20 mm PU foam. They are color-coded and extremely robust. Three hinges ensure accurate opening and closing. The inner doors can also slide off their hinges for easy cleaning. To ensure high-quality standards, the entire inner chamber is made of Stainless Steel. Telstar is the only manufacturer offering a complete Stainless Steel interior. This includes the walls, shelves, main door inner panel, and also the 5 inner doors.
Telstar has developed an ultra-low temperature freezer with low power consumption, without making any compromises in cooling performance. The combination of ultimate temperature recovery times with very stable and uniform temperatures throughout the cabinet ensures top-class performances. The package is completed by the VIP insulation which ensures slow temperature rise in case of power failure.
